Preparation Configuration

If you have purchased an IpDoor license plate, it is important to understand the system's operating logic and the use of the administration console before beginning the physical installation so that you understand how the architecture of the IpDoor world is organized.

Check the following points step by step:

  • The QR codeThe card contained in the package with the activation code.

The license plate comes with a digital and/or physical card that contains the QR code and activation code. This data identifies the product and you will need it to register the license plate on the CLOUD.

  • The ConsoleWhere devices and licenses are registered, activated and configured.

IpDoor device registrations, activations and configurations take place on the administration console that can be reached at 'console.ipdoor.com'

  • The accountPersonal access to the administration console.

In order to access the console, a personal account must be created by providing an email or phone number. The account allows you to manage one or more plants and their devices.

  • The facilityThe domain that groups devices, licenses, groups and users. In short, your home.

After logging into the console with the personal account, the first step is to create a new plant. The plant represents the context (e.g., home, business) in which the IpDoor devices will be installed. Within the plant, devices, call groups, users, credentials, and licenses are configured centrally.

  • DevicesOutdoor plates, indoor stations, controllers and readers that make up the system.

IpDoor devices are added to the system via the console, using the registration codes on the cards or product labels.

  • LicensesAdditional features enabled on your system.

Licenses enable advanced features such as remote calls, integrations or specific automations. They are loaded and assigned from the administration console.

  • Inputs and outputsManagement of physical contacts and commands to the outside world.

The inputs and outputs of IpDoor devices allow the integration of sensors, pushbuttons, relays, and other actuators for gate management and local automations.

  • The buttons and recipientsHow to link license plate buttons to calls to various users.

Each license plate button can be associated with one or more recipients (internal locations, apps, groups), flexibly defining call behavior.

  • The invitationsThe way to invite users to use the IpDoor app.

Email or SMS invitations can be sent from the console to users who are to use the IpDoor mobile app, connecting them to the system in a guided manner.
